80’s Nostalgia & Stranger Things…

I love 80’s nostalgia! I mean honestly who doesn’t? I have loved Stranger Things since it started and Season 3 was the best so far! I know all these young kids are watching a completely different show than I am because the references go over their heads. Well let me reference all the great 80’s […]

I Think This is a Sex Show…

I have debated about whether to write this column but this story is such an entertaining one I have always wanted to tell it! My promise to myself when I started this blog was to be brutally honest and tell it all. I have had such amazing experiences, sober and not, and while this is […]

My Itchiness…

“I don’t think there is anything worse than being ordinary.” I don’t know a better way to describe this feeling that I have had since I was a child. After a few weeks of normal life I feel this need, deep down, to do something, anything, that isn’t normal, to go out, misbehave, do something […]

The Mere Exposure Theory and TFS

The Mere Exposure Theory states that the more exposure you have to a stimulus, whether it is a product, person, place, etc, the more you will tend to like it. Familiarity tends to breed liking more than contempt. People can even get to like unpleasant things, such as when prisoners miss prison. You get used […]

The Weeknd…

How much do I love The Weeknd? So much!! You may ask, why is she misspelling it, doesn’t everyone love the weekend? My Shot at Redemption…

What if I fall? Oh, but my darling, what if you fly? Pine Street was no luxury rehab! I guess this is obvious since it was free! I did not want to go but once it was decided I threw myself into it and I was determined to make the best of it. I was […]

The Bottom is a Long, Long Way Down…

“Until we have seen someone’s darkness, we don’t really know who they are. Until we have forgiven someone’s darkness, we don’t really know what love is.” It is hard to talk about addiction openly. It shouldn’t be your dirty little secret but it often is. I tried to hide mine for a very long time […]

The Punishment…

“Just because you had some bad chapters in your life doesn’t mean the story can’t end well. Turn the page and never look back.” After I was processed into the Parker County Jail the Sheriff called me into his office. He informed me that he was making me a trustee and that I would be […]
